Welcome to Limelight Theatrix, based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We offer Musical Theatre classes to a wide range of students aged between 2 to 16. Our lessons provide you with the experience and knowledge in the 3 elements of Musical Theatre Dance, Drama and Singing. We want to offer a safe space for children to be able to express themselves creatively and embrace the world of the Arts. Whilst making friends, getting fit, boosting confidence and self esteem and having lots of FUN!

Musical Theatre Classes

Our classes focus on Drama with improvisation and scripted sessions, Dance with Choreographed and freestyle routines, Vocal Coaching and Singing, also general Stagecraft and Performance skills. Our compelling, fairly priced classes are designed to be educational and fun to feed active bodies and minds. We aim to provide a fun and stimulating environment for everyone that attends, and always bring immense energy and passion to everything we do. At the end of every half term we have an open class for Parents and Care Givers to see the progress that their child has made.

About Me

Hi I'm Rachel and I own and teach classes at Limelight Theatrix. I was born and raised in Barnsley, where I trained in Performing Arts from the age of 4 to 16. I went to work as a Professional Dancer at the age of 17. I danced at many famous venues all over the world. I'm married with 4 children at pre and primary school age. My passion for Performing has never left me but was re-ignited by recent performances with LS Theatre Productions. I now want to share my experience and knowledge with local children (without the pressures of exams or formal productions). I have an enhanced DBS cert. and full Public Liability Insurance. The focus of our classes will be on fun, confidence building, getting active and hopefully igniting a passion for the Arts.
